NAS Vs NAS: THIEF’S THEME Vs HIP HOP IS DEAD!

NAS! one the greatest MCs of all time became the only Rapper in history to release two Hit singles in two different years, two years apart…………WITH THE SAME BEAT! In the summer of 2004, NAS released a single dedicated to the Stick up kids of America chronicling their exploits in a song titled “THIEF’S THEME” produced by longtime collaborator SALAAM REMI. Released off his Brilliant and most HOOD-EST project ever, the Platinum selling Double Album “STREETS DISCIPLE” was released off his own ILL WILL Records in conjunction with Columbia, finishing his 7 album deal.  The record became an instant STREET ANTHEM!  The track featured a sample of IRON BUTTERFLY’S “INAGADDADAVIDA”

TWO YEARS LATER! after a two year Hiatus NAS returns with an album on DEF JAM (The same label that rejected him 12 years earlier now ran by “frenemy” JAY Z) and single of the same name “HIP HOP IS DEAD” also sampling IRON BUTTERFLY’S “INAGADDADAVIDA” but this time produced by Black eye pea’s WILL.I.AM! This time around the song revolves around the DEATH OF HIP HOP becoming the first introduction to the acts of the “CULTURE VULTURES” we now speak of today!

No one can REALLY match NAS lyrically except NAS! (CORMEGA, buts that’s my opinion!) So I ask, What song do you think is BETTER!!!!!!(Poll under videos)
